Showcase Cinema Leeds offers 2-for-1 Military Wives tickets to armed forces personnel

Showcase Cinema de Lux Leeds, which is actually in Birstall, Batley, is making the offer from the release of Military Wives this Friday.

Any person who has a military ID card when paying for admission to the film will receive a second ticket free of charge.

The film follows a group of women from different backgrounds who come together to support each other while their partners are away serving in Afghanistan.

Mark Barlow, UK general manager of Showcase Cinemas said: “Military Wives is a very special film, one that doesn’t come around very often. We’re proud to offer 2 for 1 tickets to celebrate all military personnel, rewarding their heroic efforts and service to the country.”

There are more than 2,000 women with a military connection involved with the charity's 74 choirs based across the UK and in British military bases abroad, including those in Cyprus, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
