A fun park which thrills hundreds of visitors each year when it visits the city is returning to Leeds - just in time for the start of the school holidays.

World of Fun Family Fun Park will be at Killingbeck Playing Fields - just off York Road next to Asda – from Friday, July 27, until Sunday, August 5, and once again it is promising to bring with it a fantastic selection of rides.

The even better news is that a visit won’t make too big a dent in your family’s budget because all of the rides are unlimited once you pay a one-off price of £7.99 for a wristband.

You will be able to take your pick from over a dozen thrilling rides, family rides and kids’ attractions during the wristband sessions which last for three hours.

And there really is something for visitors of all ages, from adventurous toddlers to teenage thrill-seekers.

Daredevils can enjoy spin after hair-raising spin on the Sky Flyer which soars 30 metres skywards offering amazing, long range views towards the City - if you’re brave enough to look, of course.

Then there’s also the ever-popular Atmosphere Creator Waltzers as well as the sensational Twister and the incredible Freak Out which are always a sure-fire way to get pulses racing – don’t forget to scream if you want to go faster.

And what visit to the fair would be complete without a spin on the dodgems?

Well, with three hours in which to sample the rides there will be plenty of time to test out your driving skills – even for those without a license.

Meanwhile the younger visitors have not been forgotten with plenty of kids’ rides to offer them all the fun of the fair as they soak up the bright colours and bustling atmosphere.

“Best of all, once you get a wristband you can sample ride after ride on our attractions - as often as you like for up to three hours,” said organiser Albert Evans.

“Mum and dad, meanwhile, if they don’t want to ride, can sit back and relax with a well-deserved coffee and cake from our catering choices.”

Entry for non-riding adults accompanying kids to the security-controlled site is £1 and anybody wanting to sample rides or accompany children on rides must purchase a wristband.

Leeds World of Fun opens on Friday, July 27 and will be at the playing fields until Sunday, August 5.

Session times are daily at noon until 3pm, 3pm until 6pm or 5pm until 8pm with the exception of Sunday, August 5 when there will be no session from 5pm until 8pm.

Please note that height restrictions may apply on some of the World of Fun attractions.

Car parking at the event is free.
