Mr G H Ibbetson, the Leeds Rugby League Club secretary, travels to London today to meet George Cook, the New Zealand full-back who has signed for Leeds.
Before he goes Mr Ibbetson expects to make an announcement regarding Arthur Clues, the Australian Test match forward with whom Leeds have been negotiating, and whom they hope to sign before the Cup register closes on February 1.

Hide AdClues, a 22-year-old Sydney policeman, has been considering an offer made to him by ‘Dinny’ Campbell, Leeds’s representative in Australia. If he accepts, Australia will lose their best forward.
Clues, who is 6ft 1 1/2in and 15st, was the danger man of the Australian pack in the last series of Tests. A brilliant handler, faster and tougher than the average, he is happiest where the battle is hottest.
Cook is expected to arrive at Poole, Dorset, by flying boat soon after midday today, and will be met in London by Mr Ibbetson. Cook is expected in Leeds tonight.
