Opening date for new cinema in Harrogate 'not until autumn'
The new 'picture house' will feature five screens over three floors as the centre-piece of Harrogate's major new £10m restaurant and cinema complex at the former Beales department store at 5 Albert Street which is the work of Harrogate-based developers 4Urban Consulting Ltd.
Everyman cinema's Hoss Ghonouie told the Harrogate Advertiser Series this week: "We’re hoping it will be opening in September this year."

Hide AdBest known for swapping the traditional cinema seat and popcorn in favour of comfy sofas and pizzas, Everyman's arrival should offer some real competition to the town's Odeon cinema, a listed building which first opened in 1936.
Most of the restaurants in the new development on the corner of Station Parade and Albert Street such as CAU, Yo Sushi, Côte Bistro, Byron Burger and ASK are nearing completion.
