While the choice of headliners such as Metallica and Mumford and Sons was always likely to divide opinion - Friday night’s main act The Libertines seems to have attracted less criticism - there is guaranteed to be plenty on offer to suit all tastes at BRamham Park.

Duncan Seaman and Phil Harrison bring you a taste of what is to come over the next few days, picking out some of the highlights, as well as interviewing some of the bands taking part.

We chat to Everything Everything, Marmozets, from Bingley, and Leeds’s NARCS, who will open up on the BBC Introducing Stage on Friday at Leeds after being one of a number of bands from the local area to get their day in the (hoped-for) sunshine.

We also hear from Natalie Prass, who will be playing at the Brudeness Social Club on September 1 on the back of her critically-acclaimed self-titled debut album earlier this year and there’s also music from the Viriginian, NARCS, Post War Glamour Girls and Biscuithead and the Biscuit Badgers, who play at the Bruidenell this Friday as part of an evening’s entertainment curated by music charity Cloth Cat.
