Hide AdFort Paull is a gun battery and fort established by King Henry V111 in 1542. Built to look like a medieval Fortress, and stands proud on the Edge of Hull. Additions were made under the rule of King Charles 1 during the English Civil War.
It stored ammunition during the Second World War as well as supplies for shipping to the Soviet Union.
In the 1960s the Ministry of Defence sold the site and it was purchased by the friends of Fort Paul to restore it and planned to make it a public location.
In 2000 it opened its doors as a fully restored museum looking at the past 500 years, complete with exhibits and aircraft displays.

Fast forward four years to 2024 and after five years of decay to many areas, the museum has now got a new manager who is determined to restore the museum again and get it opened to the public again.
Simply Ghost Nights are one of a few events companies who will be returning and investigating the spirits of Fort Paull. We are incredibly excited and very grateful to be offered a wonderful opportunity to get back in there.
This location is not really suitable for people with disabilities as it’s lots of sloping tunnels, stairs and underground areas.
