Apr 3 - Ray Mears: The broadcaster and bushcraft expert will bring his one-man show to Leeds Grand Theatre (0844 8482700, leedsgrandtheatre.com) exploring the resilience of human beings and providing a powerful insight into what makes a survivor.

Apr 12 - A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A new production of the Shakespeare comedy runs at Bradford Alhambra Theatre (01274 432000, bradford-theatres.co.uk) until April 16, with members of Leeds Arts Centre appearing alongside RSC actors.

Apr 14 - Omid Djalili: The Iranian-British performer, currently on screen in Dickensian and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man, is going back to his comedy roots with a new show stopping off at the Theatre Royal, Wakefield (01924 211311, theatreroyalwakefield.co.uk).
