Vote now for Yorkshire’s Photographer of the Year

WE have had a fantastic response to this year’s Yorkshire Photographer of the Year competition with hundreds of entries received from across the Yorkshire region and beyond.

Representatives of the Yorkshire Post and our sponsor, Lightwater Country Shopping Village have now whittled down the entries from each category and picked what we believe are the images that truly sum up Yorkshire.

We hope you’ll enjoy looking through these pictures as much as we have. Some are amusing, others moving, but all are fantastic images that really capture this fantastic county; our beautiful landscapes and coasts, intriguing wildlife, exquisite landmarks and our rural traditions. ‘The large number of competition entries we received was very impressive and the quality of the photographs made the judging very difficult. We viewed an excellent selection of images showing every aspect of Yorkshire life and the final selection shows these to the full’ said Yorkshire Post Newspapers Group Picture Editor Ian Day.
