AMP creates 200 jobs with office move

AMP Risk Management plans to create around 200 new jobs over the next year after relocating to city centre offices.

The firm has moved from out-of-town offices on York Road in Leeds and into 8,299 sq ft at Bruntwood’s West One office building on Wellington Street.

The risk management company, which is part of Fortisworld Group, was established in 2012 with two engineers. Within a year it had grown to 12 staff and the move boosted the team to 57. AMP now plans to fill a further 160 new roles by autumn 2015 as it seeks 120 office staff and 40 engineers.

Managing director Simon Waterton said: “The recent investment into AMP has enabled us to press on with the second phase of business growth and we are incredibly excited to be establishing our Leeds city centre office. We are actively recruiting for the rest of our team.”

CBRE acted for Bruntwood and AMP was unrepresented.
