Avant Homes begins work on £28m Yorkshire development to build 135 new homes

Avant Homes North East has started construction on a £28m development in Yorkshire to build 135 new homes.

Located four miles from Richmond town centre on Cookson Way, the Brompton Mews scheme will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes and feature 11 of Avant Homes’ house types.

Initial prices of homes will range from £179,995 for a two-bedroom semi-detached property to £309,995 for a four-bedroom detached house.

The development received planning permission in August last year. The overall build programme is estimated to take approximately three years.

Of the 135 homes being built, 30 per cent are affordable housing with eight homes to be affordable rented and 32 homes to be discount market sale.

Avant Homes has also committed to a community contribution of more than £380,000 towards local education and recreation facilities. The showhome is due to open this summer with the first homes set to be ready for occupation in June.
