Beaumont Legal launches £150,000 academy
Last year, the company revealed that it planned to become one of the country’s biggest providers of conveyancing services. It is also expanding its range of legal services. A year on, the Wakefield firm’s headcount has grown from 50 to more than 120 people, and its £5m turnover is forecast to double this year. Adele Barker, the director of conveyancing and Sarah Thornton, the firm’s training manager, have developed a training team led by three solicitors. The firm has launched an academy that will benefit up to 20 employees at a time. Academy recruits will progress through five levels of conveyancing modules. New employees can progress from graduate to team leader within three and a half years, while those joining the firm at a higher level will gain refresher training from the academy four times a year.
Nick Masheder, head of conveyancing at Beaumont Legal, added: “Our aim is to develop the next conveyancing stars of the future, but to do that you need strong foundations.”
