Bolser triumph win with King’s Award for Enterprise Award 2024

Pioneering Leeds-based digital agency, Bolser, has achieved the UK’s most prestigious business badge of honour – the King’s Award for Enterprise, in the International Trade 2024 category.

One of only 252 organisations in the country to win the award, Bolser was evaluated against comprehensive vetting criteria ranging from proving its export success to how the business impacts society. The Awards, which date back to 1966 under the original title – The Queen's Award for Enterprise – celebrate the best of British business talent across innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility). Bolser is one of a handful of digital agencies to have achieved a King’s Award, representing the best of UK tech and creative talent on the world stage.

Since 2001, Bolser has delivered market-leading digital products and services to major brands and organisations including Microsoft, Minecraft and The Football Foundation. The agency saw its turnover increase 50 percent to £2.5m for the year ended 30 November 2022 and is predicted to increase sales again once again by year-end.

Commenting on the win, Ashley Bolser, founder & MD, Bolser, says: “We’re incredibly honoured. Winning a King’s Award is not just about our outstanding international growth, but what fuelled it. We go beyond in everything we do, delivering world-class work and it’s a real testament to the team’s diligence and commitment.

“But this was no easy feat. The Award asks many questions of the business, from how we conduct ourselves to our financial stability and even our contribution to society and the environment. Increasingly we’re finding the world is looking to the UK for creative and tech talent and it’s fast becoming one of our greatest exports. Geography is now less of a barrier than ever and it’s a powerful signal to the industry that we have the skills to match, if not exceed, companies internationally – and we’re proud to be recognised for it.”

Ashley Bolser will be invited to a ceremony at Windsor Castle in July to receive the award in person.
