Bond flying high after sealing Perenco deal

BOND Offshore Helicopters started its new service for Perenco Oil and Gas, its first from Humberside Airport.

The company will provide crew change flights to Perenco’s newly acquired assets in the southern North Sea.

Bond won the £37m three-year contract in November. It has created 15 new jobs at the airport and invested in a new AW139, a 15-seat medium-sized twin-engined helicopter manufactured by Agusta Westland.

Perenco completed the $400m acquisition of BP’s Southern Gas Assets at the end of last year.

These include three main production hubs at Cleeton, Ravenspurn and West Sole with more than 20 fields connected to the Dimlington gas terminal near Easington. Combined, the operation produces the equivalent of between 35,000 and 45,000 barrels of oil per day.

Luke Farajallah, managing director at Bond, said: “This is an exciting new win for Bond Offshore Helicopters, and reflects in no small part the focus on service provision and customer support in our existing work with Perenco Oil and Gas.

“This will be our first aircraft operating out of Humberside Airport and we very much look forward to further growth in order to establish a significant presence in the area.”
