The firm, which also counts Coca Cola, John Lewis, Nando’s and Next among its clients, is on track to meet its full-year growth target, which is more than 50 per cent up on 2014’s £30.8m turnover.

A £7m project to design and build a new extension for Britvic Soft Drinks at the company’s Swinnow Lane site in Bramley and an £8m design and build warehouse project in Dartford, Kent for Bericote Properties and Asda are among the contracts to bring significant funds into the business.

Jason Adlam, chief executive at HCM, said the increase was as a result of a five-year growth plan, which has seen a further 10 workers join the company this year.

He said: “In previous years the majority of projects would fall within the £1m to £3m bracket, but we have recently secured several new high-profile contracts with blue chip clients with individual values of between £7m and £8m. “These wins combined with an upturn in the market, has meant a significant increase in the average value of each project we are working on, while we continue to satisfy the requirements of our existing customers.”

The company, which operates as HCM Projects and HCM Interiors, is looking to recruit further staff to its 50-strong team before the end of the year, he added.

South Elmsall-based HCM mainly works on private sector industrial, commercial, residential and retail schemes.

Notable recent contract wins for HCM Projects include a £2m repair scheme on a North Wales Shopping Centre for a property investment firm and a £4m design-and-build project in Scunthorpe for manufacturer Can-Pack UK.

It has also completed a 125-room hotel project for Premier Inn in Sunderland and a staff shop for Next at Armthorpe.

To date, the division has delivered more than £100m of construction work for Asda as part of a long-term investment programme.

HCM Interiors has delivered 12 Nando’s restaurants across the UK and recently started on site with a tenth restaurant for Goodman’s Burger & Lobster chain.
