Budget hotel chain has new finance chief

TRAVELODGE, the budget hotel chain, yesterday announced the appointment of Jo Boydell as chief financial officer.

She will join the company on March 18, replacing Jon Mortimore who will leave Travelodge following a handover period.

Ms Boydell will report directly to Travelodge’s chief executive, Grant Hearn. Her previous positions include posts as finance director at Mothercare and Snap Equity, the parent company of Jessops. Mr Mortimore has decided to leave the company to pursue new opportunities. He led the company’s financial restructuring programme last year.

Ms Boydell added: “I am excited to be joining Travelodge at this pivotal moment in its history.”

Travelodge has more than 30 sites in Yorkshire.
