Saffery Champness, chartered accountants in Harrogate, will host a VAT and tax workshop for finance, fundraising and events staff in the charity and not-for-profit sector. The event is being run in conjunction with the Institute of Fundraising and will take place at Saffery Champness’s offices at Mitre House, North Park Road, Harrogate from 2pm to 5pm. Shulmans commercial solicitors has teamed up with surveyors Savills to offer a free breakfast seminar on the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) now that Leeds City Council has published its preliminary draft charging schedule. Taking place from 8-10am at The Novotel, Whitehall Road, Leeds, the event will offer an insight into the practicalities of CIL aimed at landowners and developers. It will be chaired by Andrew Latchmore, partner at Shulmans and chair of the Leeds Property Forum. Richard Serra of Savills and Lyn Dario of Shulmans will also speak.
