Young Directors Forum: Behind the scenes – The Chocolate tasting experience. Sophie Jewett set up York Cocoa House, a chocolate shop and school in late 2011 and the business is flourishing. Come along to hear her tips about giving customers the service and experience they want. There’s also the chance to learn more about chocolate as well as trying your hand making your own treats. A seminar will look at the risks posed by employees taking time off work with stress related illnesses and how to proactively manage them to minimise the possibility of a claim. Linda Pollard, chairman of NHS Leeds, regional chairman of Coutts Bank plc and Pro-Chancellor/chairman of the University of Leeds, will be the guest speaker at a Yorkshire Talking Heads event from 6.30pm-9pm. She will share her experiences and views of business success, from an early career in private industry, through to smashing the glass ceiling and obtaining key strategic roles within the public sector. Ms Pollard is also chairman of Inspirational Journey, which encourages and promotes women to reach the top of their professions.
