Car Share inspires Zenith's green commute

The company has seen participation in its new car sharing scheme soar following the popularity of the TV series, written by and starring Bolton comedian Peter Kay with over 240 staff signing up since launch.
Leeds-based Zenith has seen 68 per cent of its employees at its headquarters in Leeds sign up to the initiative.

Hide AdCar sharers are already taking 56,000 miles off of the roads in their local area every year, that’s over twice the miles it would take to drive around the entire Earth. £7,000 will be saved in fuel costs and the environment benefits from a saving of 10 tonnes of CO2.
Marisa Waddington, HR director at Zenith said: “It’s great timing that Peter Kay’s new series has coincided with the launch of our car sharing scheme. Feedback from staff is great with people saving money and making new friends.”
Zenith also supports cycle to work schemes and helps employees keep fit with a range of fitness activities and clubs available at the office.
The company has been in the news a great deal this year so far.
