Carter Jonas is gearing up for its second regional cycling event, following the success of its inaugural ride last year.

The Yorkshire Pedalthon 2015, which promises riders the opportunity to take on one of the top 100 cycling climbs in the country, will take place on May 8.

Co-ordinated by Iconic Cycling Events, the Pedalthon is also backed by The Yorkshire Post.

This year’s ride follows the success of the property consultancy’s first event in 2014, which raised £15,000 for charity.

Last year’s ride attracted 67 business teams from across the region, which Carter Jonas hopes to surpass this year.

Funds from May’s ride will again go to Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Land Aid, which supports disadvantaged and vulnerable youngsters.

Entrants can tackle a 90-mile challenge ride, a 70-mile scenic ride or a 40-mile social ride.

David Aspland, Carter Jonas’ head of commercial in the North, said the event will be a “great networking cycling event”.

He said: “The ride will also showcase the very best of Yorkshire food and drink at feed stations along the route.”

Individuals can sign up for £150, with teams of four at £600. For more information, visit www.yorkshirepedalthon.co.uk.
