Clipper signs new deal with BAT

Clipper's executive chairman Steve Parkin said the new deal with BAT will build on the existing 25 year relationship the two businesses

'‹Clipper Logistics, the firm that distributes goods for retailers such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Asda'‹ '‹and Morrisons,'‹ has signed a new'‹ contract with British American Tobacco.

The Leeds-based group said the new four year contract will extend to the end of 2020.

Under the new agreement, which also includes e-commerce support for Vype, BAT’s leading vapour business, Clipper will provide a full UK logistics operation including all

warehouse operations in the UK and delivery to all BAT customers in the UK. It will fulfil this by using a mix of dedicated and shared user vehicles from its various distribution centres.

Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper, said: “We are delighted to have been selected for this significant contract with BAT.

"This builds on the existing 25 year relationship the two businesses have had and the new contract win and extension of coverage to the whole of the UK is a testament to our approach to proactively building client relationships and delivering solutions for customers”.
