Company moving Straight ahead

RECYCLING products group Straight said it is looking to broaden its product range after growing 2010 turnover by eight per cent.

The Leeds-based group, whose products range from wheelie bins to kerbside food waste boxes, is increasingly making more of its own products after two key acquisitions. Straight, founded by entrepreneur Jonathan Straight, pictured, said its results for the year to the end of December are in line with expectations.

Analysts at Cenkos expect it to report adjusted pre-tax profits of £1.8m on revenues of £30.6m.

Last year, Straight bought the bulk of waste company Helesi’s UK business and in August it bought Dyro Holdings, which makes plastic recycling and waste containers.

Chief executive Jonathan Straight said: “We are extremely pleased with the progress the group has made in the past year, including the successful integration of two key acquisitions.

“We have made significant steps towards achieving the group’s strategic goals.”
