Conflow secures Colombian contract
Sheffield-based Conflow, a manufacturer of dust and fire suppression systems for the mining industry, has won a major new contract with CI Milpa, the Colombian producer of coking coal.
It is the first contract that Conflow has secured in Colombia, after its brokered a relationship with CI Milpa, through its sister company Bretby Gammatech.

Hide AdA team from Conflow, which is part of the President Engineering Group, visited the CI Milpa mine in Bogota and fitted two dust suppression systems. They also fitted a fire suppression system on a roadway for Milpa at another site in Bogota.
Mark Henley, the managing director of Conflow, said yesterday: “This is the start of a very positive relationship with CI Milpa and we are looking forward to further developing our business in Columbia. We see it as a major growth area for our business, because of the large amount of mining in Colombia.”
