Growth of home working offers great opportunity for Yorkshire, says boss of WANdisco

Hide AdHe said: “We are not going to be as London-focused as we were in the past. We should see this as a great opportunity for Yorkshire. People are making personal choices to move to locations that are more cost effective.”
He made the comments as Sheffield-based WANdisco revealed it had created a new service in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help companies operate more efficiently.
The LiveData company has announced the launch of LiveData Migrator, an automated, self-service system in partnership with AWS.

Hide AdLiveData Migrator enables companies of all sizes to easily start migrating data to AWS within minutes, without having to rely on the expertise of engineers or other consultants.
Migrating large data volumes with traditional approaches, such as transfer devices or distributed copy, requires disrupting the operation of on-premises applications and doesn’t cater for data that is modified or created during migration.
However, LiveData Migrator works without any business disruption while ensuring the migration is complete and continuous.

Hide AdMr Richards said: “It enables you to move to the cloud without shutting down any of your operations.”
GoDaddy, the web host and domain registrar, is an early customer for the service.
GoDaddy Chief Data and Analytics Officer Wayne Peacock, said: “We found that WANdisco’s LiveData Migrator delivered the best time to value solution.”
