Morrisons launches next day flower delivery service

Bradford-based Morrisons is offering its customers the chance to send their nearest and dearest a perfect pick-me-up - a bunch of hand-tied flowers, delivered the next day.

Price at £20, customers can pick from one of three bouquets to send to their loved ones.

Each bouquet is hand-made by Morrisons florists.

A spokesperson said in a statement: “Morrisons is launching the service to provide another way for its customers to send their love two months after the lockdown started.”

Jason Beaumont, Head of Flower Operations at Morrisons added: “This will give customers a way to send a beautiful hand-made bouquet to a loved one at a more affordable price.”

Earlier this month the supermarket introduced a new ‘Speedy Shopping’ system designed to ensure customers wanting to shop for a small basket of essentials will queue for less time outside of the store and checkout quicker once inside.

It sees a new separate Speedy Shopping lane introduced outside of Morrisons stores, allowing them to bypass those making larger shopping trips.

First and foremost - and rarely have I written down these words with more sincerity - I hope this finds you well.
