New Range store will create 40 jobs in Yorkshire

Home, leisure and garden retailer, The Range, is to create 40 jobs when it opens a third store in Leeds later this year following the launch of the Leeds Birstall store last October, which joined the existing branch at City South Retail Park.

The new store will be located at The Springs Retail Park to the North East of the city and is due to open on Friday, December4.

The opening will create 40 new full and part time jobs at the store, including roles within store management, warehousing and retail administration.

The Springs store will sell the most popular products found in Range stores around the country, including a wide selection ofhome products, including bedding, statement lighting and ornaments. It will also sell furniture, DIY and some Range essentials.

The Range operates over 180 stores across the UK and Ireland.

The firm said that its growth, given the current economic challenges faced by the retail sector, is a mark of the entrepreneurial leadership of owner and founder, Chris

Dawson.

Mr Dawson said: “We’re really looking forward to showcasing a selection of our best products when we open at The Springs. It will be great to welcome customers, old and new, to a second local Leeds store."
