Cranswick makes acquisition
PORK supplier Cranswick has acquired Kingston Foods, a produer of cooked and roasted meat products.
The Hull-based company said the acquisition “strengthens Cranswick’s cooked meat production capabilities, further diversifies its product range in a growing market and broadens the group’s customer base”.
Cranswick said it has acquired the entired issued share capital of Kingston Foods, which had gross assets of £3.7m on January 27, 2012.
Tony Turner and Paul Williams, the vendors, will continue in their current positions as managing director and operations director respectively.
