Endless LLP, based at Whitehall Quay, looks for investment opportunities where its team of professionals can work closely with businesses to help unlock their real potential for growth. Investment Partners Andy Ross and Matt Jubb run the Leeds office, and are responsible for investment activity in the region.

“We invest in and support businesses and their stakeholders through times of change,” begins Andy. “This can cover a wide variety of situations, from a business transitioning from an owner-manager or family ownership to a new management team, or emerging from of a larger group to operate as an independent business, or the battle through and then out of other challenging circumstances.”

Founded in 2005, Endless LLP is what is known as a transformational investor, looking to support buyouts, non-core acquisitions from larger groups and business turnarounds. It has a team of almost 40 people working across its offices in Leeds, Manchester and London.

“We have invested in over 80 businesses over the last 16 years, and will continue to do so regardless of how the wider economy evolves over the coming months. We have been active over the last couple of years where many have effectively shut up shop, supporting companies in a variety of sectors through the evolving Covid-19 pandemic, various lockdowns and Brexit-related issues.”

“But it is people that we really invest in: the management teams and employees of businesses, their vision for the future and what their business could ultimately become with the right support,” explains Matt. “We also recognise that managing change is often a stressful time for business owners, managers and employees, and we try to work compassionately and considerately with them. Our ability to bring certainty at speed is something of which we believe we have unrivalled experience as a team.”

With 17 companies currently under its direct ownership and a further seven owned by its SME-focused fund and brand Enact (headed up by Partner Chris Cormack), the wider Endless family covers a variety of sectors and business sizes, including national logistics business Menzies distribution; bespoke automation specialist Sewtec Automation; multichannel retailer High Street TV; decorating sundries manufacturer Bartoline, and well-known consumer brands Hovis, Victoria Plum and American Golf.

“We are not a sector-focused team – our management teams are the real sector experts. We are investors in situations where many others aren’t set up to either complete the transaction in the manner or timescale needed, or to then support the business in the way it really needs following the acquisition.”

“We raised our fifth institutional fund of £400m late last year, and we look forward to putting as much of that to work locally in supporting and accelerating business growth and transformation.”
