Getech: Leeds-based company hires non-executive director to boost growth
The Leeds-based subsurface research firm Getech has hired a new chairman of its audit and risk committee.
Getech has announced the appointment of Ajay Kejriwal as an independent non-executive director.
In a statement, Getech said that Mr Kejriwal has more than 35 years of operational experience in corporate finance, natural resources and energy companies.
In a statement, Getech said: “His career spans both executive and non-executive roles across listed and private companies, including as CFO (chief financial officer), interim CEO (chief executive) and Audit Committee Chair.

"Ajay currently serves on multiple boards, including Reon Energy Limited, Chesterfield Resources plc and ASX-listed, Apollo Minerals , while previously serving on the board of Sirius Petroleum plc and Upstream Asia plc. He holds a BSc in Economics and Accounting from City University, London and is an ACA Chartered Accountant.”
"On appointment, Ajay will also take on the role of audit and risk committee chair, where his previous experience of financial reporting and risk management will be of great value to the company.”
Michael Covington, Chair of Getech, said: "On behalf of the board, I am pleased to welcome Ajay Kejriwal to Getech, and I am confident his knowledge and experience in the natural resources sector is a great fit with the company.
"In his role as chair of the audit and risk committee, Ajay's deep understanding of corporate finance and his experience in driving shareholder value will be invaluable as we look to continue commercial momentum and profit from the opportunities which lie ahead for Getech.”
“We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Alyson Levitt for her commitment and support to the business over her tenure on the board as chair of audit and risk committee, over which time we have seen solid growth and positive transformation."
Getech saw its revenues lift in the first half of the year as the company said it had seen an increase in activity in its core oil and gas markets.
In a statement issued last month, Getech said its trading had “strengthened” over the six months to 30 June, leading the company to expect revenue growth of 15 per to £2.4m.
It said the shift had been driven by a “positive mix of new and retained business”.
Commenting on the results, Chris Jepps, CEO of Getech, said: "We are pleased with the progress made during the first half of 2026. Revenue growth, improved profitability and a stronger new business pipeline demonstrate that the actions taken over the past 18 months are delivering results."
