Historic Tempest Arms on edge of Yorkshire Dales re-opens following refurbishment

Following a five month closure, the inn has a re-designed bar and the 21 guest bedroom have also been refurbished.

William Robinson, the managing director at Robinsons Brewery, commented: “It was always very important to retain the character and heritage of the pub, and simply enhance its original features.

"This investment represents our dedication to our estate where we have further investments planned during the remainder of the year.”

Internally, the Tempest now offers a new semi-private dining room beside the restaurant area, featuring a restored trestle table for 10 people.

The new design, which aims to create a ‘farmhouse’ feel, features original reclaimed furniture upholstered in an array of fabrics, with atmospheric lighting. The inn’s stone walls have also been cleaned and the original fireplaces retained.

The Tempest includes a function room which is frequently used for wedding receptions. From humble beginnings in Victorian Britain, Robinsons has grown to become one of the UK’s largest independent family brewers, with around 260 pubs across the North West and Wales.
