How Wensleydale Creamery boosted turnover at its vistor centre by 15 per cent

The Wensleydale Creamery has reported a bumper summer season, with turnover at the visitor centre up by 15 per cent compared to 2022.

The business, based in Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, also surpassed pre-pandemic numbers, with overall turnover up four per cent from 2019.

The successful summer has been largely driven by innovation within the business through analysing and adapting quickly to respond to changing consumer trends and the budgets of their visitors.

Lighter bites and the Wensleydale Cheese Bar were added to the creamery’s food offering at the start of the season to provide customers with a broader range of options to suit different price points. A series of promotions were also introduced to support families, including ‘kids go free’ and ‘children eat for £5’, allowing parents to plan cost effective and enjoyable days out.

"To have come back stronger than pre-pandemic levels is testament to the initiatives that have been put in place and being reactive to the needs of our customers. As an all-weather attraction, our visitor centre offers families an affordable and fun day out.”
