Mr Draper said: “A REC Award is the most prestigious industry recognition an individual or company in the recruitment sector can achieve and I am delighted to have been shortlisted for Business Leader of the Year.

“Within the next five years, I am confident Sure Group will be one of the UK’s biggest and strongest resourcing, healthcare and logistics businesses.

"We recently invested more than £1m in a new headquarters in Hull, the city in which we were founded.

"This complements our five other UK-based offices in Leeds, Rugby, Scunthorpe, Northampton and London.

“However a company is only as good as its people, which is why I am passionate about equipping our employees with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in their own career journeys.

“We are a business that looks forward, not back.

"I always share with my employees what the plan of action is, how it will be implemented and then give them the responsibility to help solve the problem and the authority to act on it.

"That is how business growth is achieved, together as a team.”

This shortlisting comes just three years after Charles was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year and selected as one of 60 ‘brilliant minds’ for Amazon Prime’s docu-series, The Social Movement, which sees participants working together to take on the world’s most pressing social issues.

The winners will be announced at the REC Awards 13th celebration gala, held at Royal Lancaster London, on Thursday, November 24.
