IT specialist wins Maplin contract

IT services specialist Claritas Solutions based in Bramham, near Wetherby, has won a contract worth around £250,000 with electronics retailer Maplin.

The new 12-month contract will see Claritas host Maplin’s entire online sales and internet services and follows an initial contract with the business, which is headquartered in Wombwell, South Yorkshire.

Kevin Edwards, sales director at Claritas, which has a turnover of £5.98m and 60 employees, said: “It is imperative for Claritas to ensure we always deliver to the highest standards, maintaining our enviable reputation within the hosting industry.

“Maplin’s further contract is another testament to that.”

Mark Smith, IT director at Maplin Electronics, said: “Claritas completed its initial contract extremely competently, always prepared to go above and beyond the confines of the agreement, to ensure our web platform maintained maximum availability for our over 30 million annual visitors.”

Maplin has a turnover of around £203m and 2,100 employees.
