KCOM confirms government contract

TELECOMS firm KCom has signed a multi-million pound Government contract.

In a trading update this morning, the Hull-based firm confirmed it had signed a “substantial” contract with a government department for the provision of hosted contact centres, supported by related IT and telephone services through its cloud-based ‘workplaces’ portfolio.

It said the project was now in the detailed planning phase.

The company said its performance of the third quarter of the financial year remained consistent with trading as reported at the interim results, released in November 2013. It predicts trading in line with expectations for the rest of the current financial year.
