Law firm Freeths marks ten years in Sheffield with launch of new office

The firm achieved record results in 2022, announcing a rise in turnover of 9.3 per cent, up to £112 million.

The move marks a milestone anniversary for the firm, which has 12 locations across the UK, as it celebrates a decade of service in Sheffield.

With a circa 60-strong team located in the city centre, the firm notes that the new space aims to help support a culture which promotes staff wellbeing by offering state-of-the-art workplace technology.

The space will include new equipment, hotdesking systems, a café and social areas, new meeting room technology, quiet pods and breakout areas.

In August of last year, the Real Estate team at Freeths’s Sheffield office advised strength and fitness clothing firm SBD Apparel Limited on the acquisition and construction of its new 100,000 sq ft premises in Rotherham.

SBD’s £12 million facility is located at Rotherham’s Advanced Manufacturing Park, previously the site of Orgreave Colliery.

In March of 2022, Freeth’s Sheffield office also announced that it was becoming a patron of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

2021 also saw the firm’s Sheffield corporate team win the International/ National Deal of The Year Award from Business Insider Magazine.

Freeths moved into its previous office space, also located at St Pauls Place, in 2014.

Prior to St Paul’s Place, the Sheffield branch was located at Fountain Precinct.
