Leeds-based Clipper Logistics in advanced talks with Arcadia Group over transport deal

LEEDS-based Clipper Logistics today revealed it was in talks with a major retailer over a new contract.

The announcement to the stock exchange places these talks in the public domain.

Clipper Logistics has announced that it is in advanced discussions with Arcadia Group Ltd to agree a transportation contract for their store delivery network.

The statement added: "The current transportation contract is managed by another logistics provider. TUPE consultations are expected to commence shortly once an appropriate process is agreed between Clipper and the incumbent.

This announcement is being made today as such consultations will be in the public domain. Once finalised, this new contract will see Clipper making nearly 3,000 deliveries per week with the operation expected to commence from August 2020."
