Leeds has been selected to host a major real estate conference for a third consecutive year, it has been announced.

UKREiiF (The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum) will be coming back to the city in 2024.

The inaugural event in 2022 saw thousands of domestic and international developers, investors, councils and built environment thought leaders come to Leeds for the three-day event which enables projects totalling hundreds of millions of pounds to be brought forward across the UK.

Amanda Griffiths, Director at Built Environment Networking, said: “Since the doors opened for the inaugural event in 2022 we have been inundated with interest from cities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and with such as high level of interest it was certainly no easy decision to make.

“But we’re a Leeds based business and the city has supported us throughout the past 24-months to ensure UKREiiF is a huge success, and we therefore wanted to make the commitment for UKREiiF to be held in the city for 2024. The event generated £5.5m in economic return for the city in 2022 and with numbers of delegates almost doubling it’s going to make a major splash for the hospitality and visitor economy this year.”

Tom Riordan CBE, Chief Executive at Leeds City Council, said: “Leeds is a vibrant, inclusive conferencing destination and to play host to UKREIIF for the third year, in 2024, is great news for the city’s economy.”

Leader of Leeds City Council James Lewis added: “We are delighted that Leeds will be the host city for UKREiiF again in 2024.”
