LEP hub hits 1,000 SMEs

more than 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have agreed to recruit an apprentice through the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The LEP Apprenticeship Hub Programme provides free advice and guidance to businesses who are interested in taking on apprentices.

Roger Marsh, chairman of the Leeds City Region LEP, said apprenticeship schemes ‘drive economic growth, tackle skills shortages and improve career prospects for young people’.

A new website has been launched to showcase the scheme in order to attract more businesses to the hub, following the milestone achievement.
