TCC, which employs more than 40 staff in Leeds, has advised more than 250 financial services clients since 2001.

BGF’s growth capital investment will focus on boosting the firm’s marketing, personnel and infrastructure. Ms Smith, the founder and chief executive of TCC said: “We have delivered impressive year on year growth and have chosen BGF as an investment partner to provide valuable guidance and contribution to help take the business to the next level. With the ever evolving regulatory landscape providing increased demand for our services, we are now well positioned to build on our growing market share. We are expanding the business which will mean employing more staff in our Leeds office.”

Andy Gregory, BGF’s regional director for the North of England, said: “Our investment in TCC is a very exciting opportunity for BGF. The company has demonstrated its ability to deliver complex regulatory solutions and advice to major financial and consumer companies across the UK. This is also a fantastic example of BGF’s regional approach to investing by backing a key employer here in Leeds with additional operations in London. We are delighted to be backing Joanne and the team, who are genuine experts in their field.”

Ms Smith, who is from Yorkshire, previously worked for the Financial Services Authority, HBOS and KPMG.
