New home created for small firms
Regent House, in Horsforth, near Leeds, is helping to meet the growing demand for business accommodation as the economy starts to recover.
The building, which is owned by a private landlord, has been leased and developed by Lets Live Leeds, which provides accommodation for professional people.

Hide AdAlix Newton, the director of Lets Live Leeds, said: “It was a dental practice which closed during the downturn. It had been empty for several years. I had to convert the dental surgery suites into modern office spaces for micro-companies, who are very similar to us and in the same line of work. We then piggy-back work off each other. There are lots of empty buildings all over Leeds which aren’t being developed and it will take somebody like us to invest money into the building.”
