New £5m care home to create jobs in seaside resort
More than 50 new nursing and administration jobs are to be created with a new £5m care home due to open in Scarborough next year. Construction works start this autumn on the 64-bed care home in Barrowcliff, which will be known as Maple Court, and is due to open in autumn 2016.
Yorkshire Bank provided a £2.9m development loan to part fund the construction. Scarborough construction company Appledorn Developments has been appointed main contractor. Business, corporate finance and taxation advice was provided by JWP Creers.
