When I was 12, I’d set myself targets of how many cars I could wash in a day for two pounds.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?

I’d be on stage, a worldwide star singing ballads. I love to sing so that’s where I’d be!

What was your worst mistake?

In my early 20s I went blindly into the stock market and lost a small fortune investing.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?

Anthony Robins, an American life coach is an absolute inspiration. I’ve walked over red hot coals at his seminars, so I know dinner would be truly insightful.

What was your best subject at school?

Art and Design.

What are your hobbies?

Skiing, occasional golf, plus spending time with my family.

What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Time out with the family for a long holiday to parts of the world we’ve not seen before.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

My tank top.

What’s your favourite time of day?

I’m a morning person.

What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?

You can walk out into Yorkshire’s wilderness and lose yourself.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

The time is now, life is short, enjoy every minute – and always be led by your heart.
