Kier, which employs over 700 people across Yorkshire and offices across the region including in Leeds and Sheffield, has completed a number of projects across the county in the past 12 months including the 93,000 sq ft Sovereign Square development in Leeds and the £8.5m North Active Leisure Centre in Sheffield. The firm said its order book reflected strong pipeline conversion in regional building and highway services.

Haydn Mursell, chief executive, said: “The Group has a balanced portfolio of businesses and market leading positions in regional building, infrastructure and housing. The group’s breadth provides some resilience against economic uncertainty and we continue to shape Kier to focus on our core competencies.”
