The event, which was held at Nexus at the University of Leeds, marked the beginning of six months of accelerator support delivered by Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber in partnership with West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
A spokesman said: “The programme’s continued delivery follows £4.5 million of investment secured in 2025 from West Yorkshire Combined Authority, via the UK Government’s Investment Zone, supporting the growth of health innovation across West Yorkshire. “
Dr Neville Young, Director of Enterprise and Innovation at Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our third cohort of innovators to Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire. The quality and ambition demonstrated throughout the selection process underlines the strength of talent working to improve health and care.
“ As we enter the programme’s second year, we’re building on the momentum established with West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the partnerships that make this support possible.”
