What are the prospects for the property sector in Yorkshire and Humber?

In terms of the farming industry, it has been a difficult two years due to the bad weather.

I’ve been involved in so many projects during my 20 years in farm business consultancy that there are too many to choose from.

There has been central theme throughout every project and that’s helping clients realise their potential and achieve their aspirations so it’s always a very rewarding experience.

What is your favourite building in the region and why?

For me it’s not about buildings, it’s about landscapes. Yorkshire is an incredibly diverse farming region from the hill farms of the Dales and the Moors to the arable farms of the Vale of York – these are all areas that have their own unique character.

If you could change one thing to improve the property industry in this region, what would it be?

The agricultural industry is becoming increasingly burdened with government red tape so that’s one area where there is room for improvement. I also believe improving broadband in rural areas is something that would have a substantial and positive impact on farming and rural businesses.

Who has inspired you?

It may sound clichéd but having been in the agriculture industry for 20 years, you end up drawing a lot of inspiration from both your colleagues and your clients.
