PTSG sees revenues jump following high profile contract wins

Recently floated services provider PTSG said revenue jumped 43 per cent in 2015 following work at RAF Marham to protect the site from lightning strikes and roof work at the £260m Westfield shopping centre in Bradford.

The Castleford-based firm made revenues of £26m last year while adjusted pre-tax profit leapt 35 per cent to £5m, boosted by six acquisitions.

PTSG’s chief executive Paul Teasdale said the group is on the hunt for more deals.

“We are always looking at several. We could easily do between three and five this year.”

The group has a number of high profile clients including the US Air Force, Marks & Spencer, Royal Bank of Scotland, Unite, Sheffield Hallam University, Network Rail, Harrods, Morgan Sindall, Carillion, Barclays, Land Securities, Land Rover and Manchester United.

Last year it carried out work protecting bomb dumps from lighting strikes at RAF Marham and it also carried out lightning protection at the iconic Forth Road suspension bridge.

In Yorkshire, it worked on the new Broadway shopping centre in Bradford providing roof safety systems and it has carried out work on the roof of the Bridgewater Place residential skyscraper in Leeds, known locally as The Dalek.

“The year has gone well,” said Mr Teasdale. “We’ve made good progress and done what we said we were going to do. The outlook is good and we are doing record sales every month.”
