Revealed: The shortlist for the Yorkshire Property Awards 2020

The shortlist for this year’s Yorkshire Property Awards is published today, with some of the region’s biggest deals and impressive schemes among the finalists.

The annual event, organised by children’s charity Variety, is the biggest of its kind in the region and helps raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in the region.

The awards, which sold out 1,000 tickets in less than an hour, celebrate the achievements of the commercial property sector.

The judging committee, made up of representatives of some of the region’s biggest business organisations, came up with this year’s shortlist.

The winners will be revealed at the ceremony on Thursday, April 30 at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate.

This year’s Industrial Deal of the Year category will be contested by Premier Way North, Logic Leeds and Towngate Link.

The Investment Deal of the Year award sees No.7 & 8 Wellington Place, Quarry House and a 250,000 sq ft investment let to Esterform, in the frame.

The Office Deal of the Year prize will be between 3150 Thorpe Park, No.4 Wellington Place and Central Square.

The Best Innovation Project will be between The Aura Innovation Centre, NEXUS and The National Agri-Food Innovation Campus.

The Constructing Excellence Award finalists are The East Coast Hub, Quarry Hill Campus, and Emerald Headingley Stadium.

There will also be awards for a Rising Star plus three recognised Game Changer awards highlighting best practice.

Mark Casci, business editor of The Yorkshire Post, which is media partner, said: “This year’s shortlist is absolutely fantastic and those who have made the grade should be very proud of themselves.”
