Revis grows through acquisition

REVIS Transport, the York-based haulage firm, has acquired Spandler Bros from Bunn Fertiliser as part of its strategy to grow across the UK.

The deal marks the latest stage of Revis Transport’s growth strategy, and follows its acquisition of ABC (Grimsby) in 2014.

The group, which provides a range of transport and haulage services, was founded in 1947. It has 97 staff and a fleet of 79 vehicles across its depots in North Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and now East Anglia.

Bunn Fertiliser believes the sale will benefit Great Yarmouth-based Spandler Bros, because it is now part of a company focused on professional transport services.

The deal allows Bunn to focus on its core business of manufacturing and selling fertiliser in the UK.

John S Revis, a director of Revis Transport, said: “The opportunity to establish a footprint in East Anglia and take on the experienced Spandler team fits perfectly with our expansion plans.”
