Surgical Innovations Group: 'Significant achievement' as subsidiary awarded place on NHS framework scheme

Surgical Innovations Group has hailed a "significant achievement” after its subsidiary Elemental Healthcare was awarded a place on an NHS framework scheme.

Elemental Healthcare has been awarded a place on the NHS Minimally Invasive Surgery 3 (MIS3) framework agreement for an initial period of two years, commencing on 10 August 2026.

The MIS3 framework aimed to provide “streamlined access” to NHS procurement channels, supporting purchasing processes for NHS trusts across the UK.

Commenting on the award, David Marsh, CEO of Surgical Innovations, said: "This framework award represents a significant achievement for the group, enabling us to continue to compete effectively in this critical and growing healthcare sector.

“The group remains focused on delivering high-quality products and services to NHS partners and looks forward to continuing its strong track record within the minimally invasive surgery market."

The announcement follows the group's successful participation in the previous NHS MIS1 and MIS2 framework agreements

Currently, over 60 per cent of Elemental Healthcare's sales are driven through the framework.

In addition to MIS3, Elemental Healthcare also holds equivalent framework agreements across Scotland and Wales.

Surgical Innovations Group is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of medical technology for minimally invasive surgery.

In April, the company hailed a “resilient performance in what was a challenging year” as it announced its results for the year ended December 31 2025.

The business posted a pre-tax loss of £944,000 for the period, down from £2m a year prior.

It also posted an EBITDA loss for 2025 of £0.4m, down from profit of £0.05m in 2024.

It came as the company saw sales in its overall Surgical Innovations branded products decreased eight per cent to £5.9m. The firm said this was driven by tariff headwinds in the USA and structural sales challenges with its partner in India.

Speaking on the results, chairman of Surgical Innovations, Roy Davis, said: "The company delivered a resilient performance in what was a challenging year.

“With a positive start to 2026, a focus on the basics and several strategic initiatives underway, the company is better positioned for future growth and long-term success.

“Our focus on sustainability-led market expansion, targeted distribution partnerships, and innovative product additions will continue to strengthen the company's competitive position.

“Concurrently, ongoing cost-optimisation initiatives are enhancing profitability and supporting sustainable operations.”
