The Yorkshires Business Awards: We reveal the rising stars of the region's corporate world
The rising stars of the region’s corporate world will be honoured at a major awards ceremony next month.
The Yorkshires Business Awards 2026, organised by Yorkshire Children's Charity, celebrate outstanding businesses and business leaders, while raising funds to support disadvantaged children and young people across Yorkshire.
This year’s shortlist features businesses representing a diverse range of industries, from logistics and professional services to food production, construction and technology. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 4 December 2026 at The Queens Hotel in Leeds. The Yorkshire Post is a long-standing media partner of the event and Greg Wright, the paper’s deputy business editor, will present an award on the day.
The companies on the shortlist in the mid-market corporate of the year category are Expect Distribution Group Limited, Neil Hudgell Limited, Latus Group Limited and Tiffin Sandwiches Limited, while the contenders for the large corporate of the year title are Cranswick Plc, Renew Holdings Plc, TES and Vet Partners Limited.

The shortlist for the social impact award features Latus Group Limited Persimmon Plc and TES. The winner of the business leader of the year category will be announced on the day.
The event helps fund the Yorkshire Children’s Charity’s work providing practical support to children affected by poverty, illness and disability, while delivering longer-term initiatives designed to improve opportunities and break cycles of disadvantage.
This includes the charity’s winter support programmes, which provide essential items such as warm coats, shoes, bedding and pyjamas to children living in difficult circumstances.
Charlotte Farrington, founder and CEO of Yorkshire Children’s Charity, said: “The Yorkshires Business Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the businesses and individuals making such a positive contribution to our region. Congratulations to everyone shortlisted this year.
"The calibre of businesses represented is a real reflection of the strength, ambition and generosity of Yorkshire’s business community.
“What makes these awards particularly special is that, while we celebrate business success, we’re also coming together to make a difference to children and young people who need our support. Every business that gets involved helps us continue that work across Yorkshire.”
A spokesman said: “Judges were particularly impressed by the breadth of businesses represented in this year’s shortlist, highlighting the strong geographical spread of finalists from across Yorkshire and the opportunity to recognise some of the region’s lesser-known business success stories.
“The panel welcomed the inclusion of companies that are not typically seen on the business awards circuit, reflecting the Yorkshires’ commitment to celebrating outstanding businesses from every corner of the county, not just its traditional commercial centres.”
