VIPs mark new office building

Officials have kicked off the development of a new city centre office building at a groundbreaking ceremony.

The event marked the start of works at Sovereign Street in Leeds where accountancy firm KPMG will occupy the first of three buildings.

The new 60,000 sq ft office block will be developed by Muse Developments following a funding arrangement with British Steel Pension Fund. Matt Crompton, of Muse Developments, was joined by Chris Hearld of KPMG; Coun Richard Lewis and Martin Farrington, of Leeds City Council; Richard Ross of British Steel Pension Fund, and Roy Perry, of contractor Morgan Sindall.
